The strong lighting that casted intense shadow on the wall give a sense of theatre and high drama almost like he’s on stage. The name of this move in ancient Muay Thai is roughly translated to Hanuman giving the ring, Hanuman is one of our beloved hero, the monkey king from the epic The Ramakien ( Ramayana) and the funny thing is that the shadow kind of look like a monkey with tail too, do you see it??Muay Thai fighters shadow box to practice their moves and when you see a really good fighter moving through the air shadow boxing it can kind of look like dance moves at first because it can be so graceful but then you see them start hitting the pads or fighting that’s when you see the brutality.

The final paragraph describes perfectly why I’m into Muaythai. It’s like a dance; an art. Elegant brutality.
